This policy explains what cookies are, how CareNexxus uses them, and the choices you have to control them.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device, remember preferences, and operate efficiently. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and SDKs — work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.

Cookies can be "first-party" (set by CareNexxus) or "third-party" (set by services we use, such as analytics or video hosting providers). They can also be "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (remain until they expire or you delete them).

2. How we use cookies

CareNexxus uses cookies to:

  • Keep you signed in and remember your account.
  • Remember preferences such as language and playback settings.
  • Measure how the Service is used so we can improve it.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Where you have opted in, deliver relevant marketing.

3. Types of cookies we set

We group cookies into four categories. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. The others are optional and you can change your choices at any time.

Authentication, security tokens, load balancing, and CSRF protection. Disabling these breaks sign-in, checkout, and video playback.

Functional

Remember preferences such as language, captions, and last-watched lesson so you don't have to set them again.

Analytics

Aggregate, de-identified data on which pages and lessons are used, so we can prioritize improvements. No individual profiling.

Marketing

Set only with your opt-in consent. Used to measure campaign performance and show relevant CareNexxus content on other sites.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by services we use to deliver the platform — for example, our video host, payment processor, and analytics provider. These third parties act as data processors under contract and may collect technical data necessary to provide their services. We do not allow them to use that data for their own independent purposes.

If you embed CareNexxus content elsewhere, the host site's own cookies and policies will also apply.

5. Managing your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer (where available). You may also withdraw consent for marketing or analytics cookies without affecting your access to the Service.

Disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from working correctly, including sign-in and video playback.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. The exact location varies by browser:

  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.

7. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Standards for honoring DNT have not been finalized, but we do not engage in cross-site advertising tracking and we honor DNT where technically feasible for our analytics.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change or when required by law. The "Last updated" date above shows when changes were made. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice.
